Jean Orsoni and Juliette Puyperoux founded the Domaine, a playful version of the combination of their surnames, in 2020. They had met in Paris and combined forces to purchase around 5 hectares of grapes, and today manage about 7, most of which previously belonged to Juliette's grandparents, having revitalized the vineyard land to be entirely organic viticulture.

Le Puy de L'Ours

From their history of drinking together and apart, the couple felt drawn to the wines that were more expressive of their place, and decided to attempt to make their own wines with little added or removed, and providing the utmost care and attention in the vineyards. The result is astounding purity, freshness and a signature of airy finesse across the range.

Based in Savigny-Les-Beaune, the vineyards are as old as 1960, with a small portion replanted about ten years ago. The red wines will see partial whole clusters and some light pump-overs, with judicial use of new oak. The whites will be whole-cluster pressed and aged in neutral oak barrels.
