The Wine Advocate

Wine Advocate

93-95

The 2020 Mazy-Chambertin Grand Cru is also very promising, wafting from the glass with notions of cherries, mulberries and cassis, complemented by hints of warm spices, smoked meats and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, it's lively and concentrated, with a deep core of fruit and a long, sapid finish.

95-97

The 2020 Mazy-Chambertin Grand Cru is endowed with one of the most floral aromatics amongst Rousseau’s range with iris and peony scents infusing the dark berry fruit. This is beautifully defined - a cousin of the Charmes-Chambertin. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins - a little edgier than the Charmes-Chambertin and also more tension. There is a gradual build as its fans out on the finish. Sheer class, quite audacious.
