We have sourced them from some of our clients' private cellars, our friends in Europe, direct from the domaine or through our other trusted networks. Utilizing this method allows us to offer some amazing wines and gives you the opportunity to secure them earlier. Upon arrival at TWC you will receive a notification and we will ship the wines to you.

The 2022 Kastanienbusch Riesling GG is intense and ripe, with dense, full-bodied fruit, and it's warmer and smoother than cool—an authentic 2022. It's full-bodied and dense on the palate yet creamy and elegant, and it has a well-balanced finish thanks to fine, zesty acidity. Showing first light bitter and petrol notes, this is probably not a long-distance runner. The wine has withdrawn or even slightly degraded compared to the previous year. Tasted at the Rebholz Kastanienbusch/Christmann Idig/Wittmann Morstein vertical tasting in Westhofen in August 2024.

The 2022 Riesling Birkweiler Kastanienbusch Grosses Gewächs is from the Permian conglomerations. This is scented and the only GG that shows more of itself. There is almost a sense of passion fruit with its fruity yet tart aromatic allure. Riper notions seem to shine through. The palate is tight, nuanced and more open than its siblings with that wonderfully aromatic zestiness, yet again with fine, easy flow enabled by texture. The lemon length is the perfect promise for the future. (Bone-dry)
