We have sourced them from some of our clients' private cellars, our friends in Europe, direct from the domaine or through our other trusted networks. On each product you will note an estimated time of arrival. Understand that these are only estimates, and to ensure that your wine arrives safely it may be longer. Utilizing this method allows us to offer some amazing wines and gives you the opportunity to secure them earlier. Upon arrival at TWC you will receive a notification and we will ship the wines to you.

The 2015 Riesling Ürziger Würzgarten Auslese *** (Golden Capsule) offers a very clear, deep, intense and complex stone fruit aroma with some very discreet toast and crushed stone flavors. Full-bodied, rich and powerful but enormously racy-piquant and mineral so that you don't taste its sweetness, this is a great, expressive terroir wine with a huge inner concentration that comes from the soils rather than dried berries. It is based on grapes with dry raisins due to perfect botrytis combined with healthy berries that deliver the tremendous freshness in this gorgeous Auslese that also reveals some fine tannins from the aging partly in small oak.

This overtly honeyed three-star offering leads with a nose suggesting strawberry preserves and quince jelly, but when these reemerge on the creamy, expansive palate, it is to the accompaniment of bright fresh lime and cooling green herbal essences, so that any tendency toward confitured character is delightfully counterbalanced. The finish is rich but also strikingly focused, transparent to stony nuances, and downright refreshing, a combination one seldom experiences from an Auslese, much less one from material as high in must weight and botrytis as was involved here. I suspect that with time this will have much more to say for itself.
