50+ year-old Marsanne vines in the Le Meal plot more famous for its red wines than the whites. , planted on thin, alluvial soils. Fermented and aged in 650L barrels and partially in larger vats, where it is held on the lees for 12 months with occasional batonnage.
98, RP A wine that should make any Hermitage Blanc lover's knees weak, this full-bodied, voluptuous and concentrated effort has fabulous purity and a blockbuster finish. Totally hedonistic, it still has another 2-3 decades of longevity.
