THE VINEYARD Treiso; East-South-East exposure at 450m altitude; thinned twice throughout growing season - no more than 1kg fruit per vine; total yield 6000 kg/hA
VINE AGE 30 years
SOIL Sandy, calcareous soil with marls and sandstone, atop clay with active limestone.
FERMENTATION Crushed and fermented in large oak & concrete tanks; macerated 50 days with submerged cap, prior to pressing with traditional basket press.
AGING Aged 12 months in large oak barrels, prior to 2 years' aging in bottle at the winery before release.
