Vinous

This auctioned bottling from the original, core Jungfer accentuates the floral notes found in the corresponding “regular” Jungfer Kabinett. Lily, heliotrope and honeysuckle hover over a pure pool of pear nectar, and the floral perfume wafts strikingly across a satiny, buoyant palate and a lusciously lingering finish. Yet for all of its seductive ripeness and textural richness, there is enhanced primary juiciness and hence refreshment to the luscious finish, thanks to significantly higher acidity; a hint of salinity serves for saliva-inducement. As has often been the case with this bottling, the only objection one could lodge is that its character is more Spätlese than Kabinett.
