The 2023 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is also quite open and giving in bottle, bursting with aromas of sweet berries and plums, framed by a touch of new oak. Medium- to full-bodied, it is fleshy and textural, with powdery tannins and a broad, sweet finish.

The 2023 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru was the only cuvée that had not been racked. Blackcurrant pastilles commingle with raspberry fruit on the fairly straightforward and well-defined nose. The palate is medium-bodied with a chalky texture and crunchy red berry fruit tones. It's quite linear for a Bonnes-Mares and perhaps it would benefit from more rondeur and depth on the finish. Drink this over the next 12 to 15 years.
