Good dark red. Sappy, highly perfumed aromas of raspberry, spice, red berries and bing cherry; shows an almost medicinal austerity that suggests it will require long aging. Thick, sappy and pungently oaky, with terrific intensity. An uncanny combination of power and finesse. Still rather closed in on itself yet already extremely complex. Finishes very long, with firm but sweet tannins. The finish really bores down your throat.
