Encompassing 0.70 hectares of this small and precious lieu-dit, Meursault Les Rougeots features clay and limestone soils, with some of the oldest vineyards dating back to the 1940s. The wine is aged in barrels for 15-22 months and unfiltered. The nose of this wine is pungent and vibrant, blending hints of matchstick, petrol, and a touch of exotic fruit.

Very closed nose hints at wet stone. Rich and ripe in the mouth, with palate-saturating flavors of crushed stone and orange. As lush and sweet as this is, it avoids crossing over to exotic. Very deep and very young: should age very well for a 2006.
