The NV Blanc de Noirs (disgorged in September 2015 with five grams of dosage as Extra Brut) shows a lovely purity and freshness on the delicate nose. Entirely based on Pinot Noir, this is a light to medium-bodied cuvée with a round, fruity, elegant and finesse-full texture. It is stimulatingly fresh and with a nice grip in the persistent finish. (all Pinot Noir from the grand cru Bouzy and the premier cru Tauxieres; 5 g/l dosage): Light gold. Energetic red berry and orange pith scents complemented by deeper hints of sweet butter and toasty lees. Smoky, mineral-accented strawberry and blood orange flavors show very good clarity and power, picking up a green tea element on the back half. Finishes with refreshing bitterness and strong mineral-driven tenacity.
