The 2023 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru has a rather conservative bouquet that lacks the amplitude of its peers. The palate is balanced with a twist of sour lemon on the entry, but it sags on the mid-palate and finishes in a rather banal fashion. This needs to make more of an effort. Tasted blind at the BIVB offices in Chablis.
