The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d'Orveau Cuvée Ultra has a very enticing bouquet that is leaps and bounds above the previous vintage: cranberry, raspberry coulis, touches of rose petal and white flower; aromatics seem to gather momentum in the glass. The palate is beautifully balanced with slightly grainy tannins, a bit firmer than other cuvées, though that means there is more grip and structure towards the saline finish. Excellent.
