The 2022 Chardonnay Baracca is more savory than sweet, mixing inflections of hazelnut and flint stone with white peach. It is soothingly round and silken in feel, with ripe pit fruits and a cascade of confectionery spice complemented by sweet inner floral tones over a tactile crunch of minerality. Zesty acidity adds lively tension as the 2022 tapers off long and crisp, leaving hints of sour melon that keep the senses salivating for more. While a child of a warm and dry vintage, this wine displays excellent balance.
