The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Rouge Clos des Grands Vignes 1er Cru has an elegant bouquet with redcurrant, wild strawberry and light floral scents. It’s understated compared to its peers yet very well-defined. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, again silky smooth with graphite and spice box touches. Quite a grip on the finish; this deserves several years in bottle. Excellent, but serious.
