The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru seems a bit muddled on the nose, missing the delineation of its peers. There's just a touch of reduction, but it doesn't add anything. The palate is tangy on the entry with a keen line of acidity and a lot of extract in sight, finishing with spice. Overall, it lacks a bit of class and composure and comes across as a little anonymous. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
