A touch firmer and more compact than the generic premier cru blend, Bertheau's 2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes unwinds in the glass with aromas of sweet strawberries, red plums, licorice and spices. Medium-bodied, layered and perfumed, with tangy acids and powdery tannins, it will fleshy out with a bit of bottle age.
