The Wine Advocate

Wine Advocate

88-90

Cropped from a derisory yield of fewer than 10 hectoliters per hectare, the 2021 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Rouge Les Côtés bursts with aromas of spiced plums, berries and forest floor, followed by a medium-bodied, ample palate framed by bright acids and powdery tannins. A little compact at this early stage in its élevage and marked by a touch of entirely normal youthful reduction, it's a little inscrutable but shows plenty of promise.
