2020 Marie Courtin, Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut, Champagne (Disgorged 2024)

2020 Marie Courtin, Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut, Champagne (Disgorged 2024)
Sourced from 38-year old Pinot Noir vines that were grafted to special low-vigor (shorter shoots, low-yielding) rootstock in kimmeridgian soils, this is part of the amphora duo. Dominique uses her native yeast strains for both the primary and secondary fermentations, and the wine will age in amphora for 11 months. The final wine receives zero dosage.
Pinot Noir really becomes supercharged in kimmeridgian soils, and this is no exception as the amphora allows the Pinot Noir fruit to shine. Plenty of red and orchard fruits, floral tones and spice, all while being light on its feet.
How Pre-Arrival Works
These wines are currently on the way to Thatcher’s Wine. We have sourced them from some of our clients' private cellars, our friends in Europe, direct from the domaine or through our other trusted networks. On each product you will note an estimated time of arrival. Understand that these are only estimates, and to ensure that your wine arrives safely it may be longer. Utilizing this method allows us to offer some amazing wines and gives you the opportunity to secure them earlier. Upon arrival at TWC you will receive a notification and we will ship the wines to you.
