The 2020 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Rouge Les Paizets is deeper and more tightly wound, offering up aromas of dark berries, cassis, sweet soil tones and spices. Medium to full-bodied, with rich structuring tannins and lively acids, it's a concentrated, serious wine from the same parcel as its white counterpart. The vines here are 60 years old and tend to produce lots of small, shot berries.
