The Premier cru Genevrieres parcel, planted in 1975 and rich in limestone soils, benefits from an east to southeast exposure that receives abundant morning sunlight, ensuring optimal ripening conditions. The winemaking process is traditional, involving extended lees contact and aging in barrels for 15-22 months. The Genevrières Premier Cru is among the most coveted selections, offering a wine that exudes freshness and vibrant energy.

The 2020 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru has a beguiling bouquet with white flowers, grilled almonds and touches of quince and yellow plum. The palate is lightly spiced on the entry with a silver bead of acidity, very focused towards the second half with touches of stem ginger and lemongrass. Quite noble, this may be one of Coche-Dury's longest-lasting 2020s.
