Crafted from a single southeast-facing site co-planted in 1927 and 1952 with at least seven grape varieties, Lahaye’s 2020 Brut Nature Le Jardin de la Grosse Pierre was disgorged in December 2024 with no dosage. It bursts from the glass with a deep bouquet of honeysuckle, red apple and pink grapefruit. Medium- to full-bodied, it is concentrated and bright, with racy acidity and a tactile chalky structure. Despite originating from deeper clay soils compared to Violaine, the wine remains focused and tightly wound, concluding with a long, saline finish.
