Sous La Velle lieu-dit is situated at the base of the Meursault hill, at an elevation of 220 meters. The vineyard consists of clay with an average vine age of 50 years, with plantings taking place in 1947, 1952, 1987 and 1990. Producers harvested slightly earlier this vintage due to the warmer weather, and the wines thus far exhibit comparable qualities to those of the 2017 vintage.
