The 2019 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru has a tightly wound bouquet that is probably not as immediate as when I tasted the 2018 last year. Still, it has fine mineralité, traces of orange blossom and freshly peeled Clementine. The palate is well balanced with a honeyed textured opening, quite rich and generous, but with a superb countervailing line of acidity that keeps this taut and focused. This is a worthy follow-up to the excellent 2018.
