The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Blanchot-Dessus 1er Cru has an attractive bouquet with yellow flowers, honeysuckle, candle wax and light spicy aromas developing in the glass. The palate is beautifully integrated with finely enmeshed new oak (50%) that lends polish towards the finish. One of the weightiest and most concentrated of Bachelet’s whites this vintage, this should evolve well in bottle. Be patient in other words.
