Highly perfumed dark berry, violet, smoky mineral and olive scents show excellent clarity and a touch of spiciness. Sweet, palate-staining blackberry, cherry and floral pastille flavors deepen slowly and take on a licorice note on the back half. Rich but energetic as well, finishing with emphatic back-end cut, fine-grained tannins and impressively persistent floral and exotic spice notes. 60% whole clusters.
