The 2019 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru contains 25% whole bunch. Here the stem addition is not quite as integrated as in other cuvées and needs more time to enmesh. Brambly red fruit, undergrowth and light girolles aromas gently unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and vibrant,  with slightly chalky tannins and superb salinity. Good structure on the finish and yet maybe just a little sullen at the moment. Deserves two or three years in bottle.
