2019 Coche-Dury, Bourgogne, Pinot Noir

This exquisite Bourgogne Rouge originates from vines aged over 50 years old, cultivated in sand and clay soils. The winemaking approach is traditional, involving destemming the grapes, extended contact with the lees, and aging in barrels for 15 to 22 months. This vintage crafted a wine that is approachable and direct with balance and charm.

Bursting with aromas of raspberries, plums, woodsmoke and sweet spices, the 2019 Bourgogne Pinot Noir is medium to full-bodied, lively and nicely concentrated, with powdery tannins and a pretty core of fruit.

The 2019 Bourgogne Rouge has a open nose with red cherries and blueberry fruit, refined and quite delineated. The palate is well balanced with a touch of liquorice on the entry, finely balanced, quite bold with mulberry and a touch of tar on the finish.
