The 2019 Les Champs Libres includes 5% Sémillon this year (the first time it has been blended since 2015) from a plot of old vines on white clay. It presents a lovely bouquet of yellow plum and orange pith aromas infused with white flowers. The well-balanced palate delivers a zesty opening, touches of Golden Delicious apple and a dab of spice. Hints of lemongrass furnish the persistent, minerally finish. Very fine.
