The 2019 Bourgogne Aligoté, from vines planted between 1995 and 2000 and aged in vat, has a nicely detailed bouquet of yellow plum and touches of almond shavings. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity and a pleasant bitter edge keeping things lively. Not long, but there is plenty of energy coiled up in this Aligoté.
