Delicate and charming, the Moreau brothers' 2019 Fleurie unwinds in the glass with inviting aromas of wild berries and peonies. Medium-bodied, bright and lively, with powdery tannins and a succulent core of crunchy fruit, it's elegant, pure and understated. While it's a little less demonstrative than the gourmand 2018 at this early stage, it's a wine that will delight lovers of classically proportioned Beaujolais; and with a little time in bottle, it wouldn't surprise me to see it surpass its more dramatic elder sibling.
