The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has an energetic nose, perhaps less malic than when I tasted this from barrel. The palate is well balanced with a sappy opening, good depth, a slightly waxy in texture and that crucial acidic line keeping everything on an even keel. Great potential, though I suspect the 2019 will exhibit more elegance.
