Originating from old Cabernet Franc vines located in Clos de la Renière within Puy-Notre-Dame, grown on clay-limestone soils atop Turonian bedrock of tuffeau chalk. The grapes undergo 100% destemming, a brief (5-day) maceration, and then aged for 18 months in two-year-old barrels and demi-muids, with no fining or light filtration. 2018 was a successful vintage in the Loire, the warmer temperatures created dense, concentrated, and ageworthy reds.
