The 2018 Extra-Brut Blanc de Blanc Avize Les Pisseraines is lovely, wafting from the glass with scents of crisp yellow apple, Anjou pear, toasted nuts, dried fruits and honeycomb. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming, with an ample core of fruit that's animated by a pillowy mousse, it's chalky and precise, with a bright spine of acidity and a saline finish. Les Pisseraines is an east-facing chalky site at the top of the slope.
