The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet La Romanée 1er Cru has an intriguing, complex bouquet of orange zest, honeysuckle and powdered granite aromas – just outstanding in every way. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity that cuts through intense citrus fruit laced with walnut and hazelnut. There is great depth on the finish, but you can tell that it has a lot more to give. Wonderful salinity on the aftertaste. Outstanding.
