The 2017 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese *** is clear, fresh and piquant on the concentrated nose, with candied grapefruit, lemon and raisin flavors. Dense and piquant on the palate, this is a clear and lush Auslese with concentration, grip and lingering salinity. It has good grip, tension and wholemeal bread notes and a salty-piquant finish. Excellent yet still very young. 7.5% alcohol. Tasted from AP 7 18 in July 2019.
