The 2017 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru feels a little reductive on the nose at first, although it is well defined, offering fresh pear, nectarine and orange pith aromas that seem to gain intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and quite grippy on the entry, displaying a good deal of extract, although it feels a little too malic on the finish. This showed better when I tasted it at the domaine a few months ago. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune.
