The reticent nose shows a slightly tired apple note, but then this wine was the last to finish its malolactic fermentation. Fat and sweet in the mouth, offering fine-grained but rather exotic flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, pear and herbs. Finishes a touch dry-edged and phenolic. An awkward showing today.
