Sous La Velle lieu-dit is situated at the base of the Meursault hill, at an elevation of 220 meters. The vineyard consists of clay with an average vine age of 50 years, with plantings taking place in 1947, 1952, 1987 and 1990. The 2017 was a great vintage, and among the best in the last 20 years. The whites are ripe and can be enjoyed now or aged a few more years.
