Vivid straw-yellow. Strong notes of ginger, lemon verbena and orange blossom on the enticing nose and the bright palate. Tactile and juicy, revealing a hint of smoke on the honeyed, lemony, long back end. Much more dense and longer than any of Deiss’s Appellation Villages wines, but less spicy and more saline than is usual for a wine made from mostly granite soils. A blend of Riesling along with Pinot Gris, Muscat and Gewürztraminer plus other Alsace varieties.
