(the yield here was just 15 hectoliters per hectare; vinified entirely with whole clusters): Deep medium red. Sexy, rather wild aromas of raspberry and strawberry complicated and enlivened by pepper, spices, herbs and minerals. A sappy, soil-driven vin de terroir, at once glyceral and light on its feet, with its tangy red berry flavors lifted by salty minerality and a light peppery quality. Really lovely use of stems here! The tannins lightly dust the palate and spread out horizontally on the slowly building finish. Very promising.
