Bright red. Assertive, spice- and floral-tinged aromas of candied red berries and cherry, and a bright mineral overtone that gains strength with air. Rich but distinctly energetic on the palate, offering sappy, spice-laced raspberry, cherry cola and rose pastille flavors that show outstanding clarity and back-end lift. Fine-grained tannins give shape and subtle grip to an extremely long, smooth, penetrating finish that strongly repeats the spice and floral notes. Aged for 16 months in used 500-liter French oak casks.
