Sous La Velle lieu-dit is situated at the base of the Meursault hill, at an elevation of 220 meters. The vineyard consists of clay with an average vine age of 50 years, with plantings taking place in 1947, 1952, 1987 and 1990. Despite the frost challenges faced during the 2016 vintage, the wine is showing excellent concentration, a refined structure with a timeless finish.
