Vinous

Vinous

92-93

Originating as usual (in order of magnitude) from Kreutles, Loibenberg and Kellerberg, this opens with musky floral perfume, then projects aromatically as well as on the palate a dark, savory richness of Burley tobacco allied to bittersweet, earthy roasted parsnip and rutabaga. Full, expansive and subtly oily in feel, yet with what Knoll senior concurs is a surprising sense of animation and tangy, peachy primary juiciness for a Vinothek bottling, this finishes with accents of smoky black tea, iodine, and spicy Madagascar peppercorn.
