The 2014 Puligny-Montrachet Les Aubues has a mineral-driven, crushed pebble nose flanked by scents of orange peel, stem ginger and light nutmeg aromas. This has good intensity for a Village Cru. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Perhaps here its status curtails the persistence and depth of this Puligny-Montrachet, but this excellent season for the Burgundy whites imbues it with precision. Very fine.
