The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Village has slightly darker fruit than the Nuits-Saint-Georges ’13: light floral scents with orange rind developing just behind. There is good structure here and a captivating salinity that furnishes the long and tender finish. This is an enigmatic Vosne-Romanée that may well punch above its weight once in bottle. Watch this one carefully...

Moderately saturated medium red. Very cool, pure aromas of raspberry and underbrush. Distinctly saline in the mouth, with the fruit a bit clenched in the early going but already nicely delineated; notes of coffee and blood orange emerged with air. Still a bit youthfully tough on the end but not dry. Here's a village wine that demands aging.
