Vinous

Vinous

Healthy dark red. Conveys a blacker fruit character than the 2014 Echézeaux. (Liger-Belair equates black fruits with more serious.) Juicy, sharply delineated and firm, slowly giving up flavors of blackberry, licorice, mint, minerals and crushed rock. Tougher today than the Reignots but dark and precise, finishing with almost peppery energy and lift. This wine will take a minimum or five or six years to reveal its size and texture.
