Spanning just 0.33 ha and planted in 1960, Coche-Dury's wines are highly esteemed and eagerly sought after, making them among the most famous white Burgundies. The winemaking process is traditional, involving extended lees contact and aging in 40% new oak barrels for 15-22 months, depending on the vintage.

(40% new oak; there was a bit of hail here, noted Raphael Coche, and the grapes were very ripe and tiny): Expressive aromas of white plum, hazelnut and nutty oak. Boasts an uncanny velvety texture over a powerful backbone of acidity and tannins, with the nutty oak and mineral flavors conveying outstanding energy. A great, ageworthy 2013 with terrific lemony lift on the back end.
