Vinous

Vinous

89

Bright yellow. Expressive, smoky nose combines ripe peach, lichee, pear and white flowers. Easygoing and smooth, with generous, pliant stone fruit flavors nicely framed by harmonious acidity and supported by an underlying flinty quality. Finishes subtle and long. A very promising wine and way above average for an entry-level Pinot Gris. From Herrenweg grapes, but Olivier Humbrecht didn’t think the concentration was up to his standards and thus he chose not to put Herrenweg on the label.
