Bright, deep red. Strong mineral lift to the aromas of redcurrant and smoke. A distinctly rich, sweet style but without the energy or underlying minerality of the premier crus from Nuits-Saint-Georges. Quite oaky in the mouth, with the tannins showing an aggressiveness I did not find in the other 2012s here. This wine is from 16-year-old vines, the domain's youngest.
